Nicole Wilson is an American illustrator and artist. Born, raised, and residing in the electric cultural gem known as New York City. From an early age, she was drawn to the arts. She comes from an artistic family, her father is a former Broadway actor, her sister is award-winning audiobook producer and director for Penguin Random House, her uncles are both illustrators, and she grew up in the well-known artist community, Manhattan Plaza. She studied at Parsons School of Design, The Art Students League of New York, School of Visual Arts (SVA), and under the tutelage of the portrait painter, Matt Held. In her work, she loves exploring bold colour, dramatic lines, her inner child, and developing dynamic characters. Children’s Book illustration and editorial illustration are among her main areas of interest. She has frequently exhibited her work in NYC art galleries and has illustration clients around the world. Her illustrations can be seen in the upcoming feature film “Departures” starring Maisie Williams and Asa Butterfield. When she’s not working on creative endeavours, Nicole loves attending theatre, seeing films, travelling, spending time with her family and dogs Huck and Gulliver, riding her bicycle, and indulging in all things Disney.
