Esra Ilter Demirbilek

She was born in 1974 in Istanbul. She started drawing before she was talking. While she was in intermediate school she created her first cartoon comics based on her own characters. The humour magazines she published in high school were quite interesting even for her teachers. However, the path took her to the engineering faculty instead of fine arts. After 16 years of an engineering career, she shook herself and returned to her main area of interest. Grabbed her pen and started drawing again. Attended private classes about art and illustration. She has personal works that involve humour and cartoon comics. Illustrated many children’s books, picture books, drew youth novels’ covers in Turkey, China and USA. Regularly works with famous children’s magazines. She is also drawing and writing her own children’s book series.
